The bidding marketplace, explained

Two sides. One marketplace. Trust built into every step.

Businesses post briefs. Creators bid. The payment stays safe in escrow until the work is delivered. Here's exactly what happens at every step.

The full flow

The whole marketplace, step by step

Three views of the same flow. Pick the one that's relevant to you — or read all three.

01

Sign up & pick your role

Download SponsR, sign up with email or phone in 60 seconds. Choose "I'm a creator" — you'll see only the creator-side experience from here.

60 seconds
02

Connect your social accounts

Link your Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube through their official OAuth flows. We pull follower counts, engagement rates, and recent post performance — no screenshots, no manual entry.

~2 minutes
03

Pick your niches & set your rate

Choose up to three niches that fit your content (Lifestyle, Beauty, Tech, etc.). Set a minimum bid per post type — the floor below which you won't be matched. You can change anything later.

~3 minutes
04

Browse matched campaigns

Your home feed shows only campaigns that fit your niche, audience size, and rate floor. Each one has a match score (0–100) based on how well your audience aligns with the brand's target.

Continuous
05

Place a bid

Tap a campaign you like, write a short pitch (2–3 sentences), set your price, propose a delivery date. The advertiser sees your stats, your past work, and your pitch all in one card.

~1 minute per bid
06

Get accepted & chat

If the advertiser picks you, you get a notification and the chat thread opens. Discuss the brief, ask questions, share a draft. The advertiser's payment is already locked in escrow at this point.

Real-time
07

Deliver & get paid

Post the content to the agreed platform and mark the deal as delivered with the post link. After the advertiser's review window, funds release automatically — within 48 hours, sooner if they confirm.

48h auto-release
01

Sign up & verify your business

Create an account, choose "I'm an advertiser", and verify your business details. Verified businesses stand out to the creators they want to reach.

~5 minutes
02

Post a campaign brief

Describe what you want — product, key talking points, target audience, post type, content rights, budget. Optionally upload reference posts or brand guidelines. Takes about 3 minutes.

~3 minutes
03

Bids start arriving

Matching pushes your campaign to relevant creators. Bids land in your dashboard with the creator's verified stats, sample content, past brand work, their pitch, and their price.

04

Review & chat with bidders

Compare bids side-by-side, sort by match score / engagement / price. Open a chat thread with anyone you're considering — ask questions, request a draft, share assets. No commitment yet.

As long as you need
05

Accept a bid & fund escrow

When you find your match, accept the bid. Your card is charged once and the funds move into a secure escrow account. The creator can start producing knowing the money is secured.

06

Approve the live post

The creator submits the post link. Review it against your brief and approve — or request a revision in-app, in-thread. Once you approve, or after the 48-hour window, funds release.

Track results & reinvite

Results land in your dashboard for each campaign. Top creators get added to your "favorites" — one tap to invite them to your next campaign.

01

Identity & account verification

Every creator connects via official platform OAuth. Follower counts, engagement, post history are pulled live from the platform, and connected accounts are screened for signs of inauthentic activity before any creator can bid.

02

Match-score algorithm

When an advertiser posts a brief, our matching engine scores every active creator against it. Inputs: niche overlap, audience demographics, past performance on similar briefs, engagement rate, and rate compatibility. Top-scoring creators see the brief first.

Per-brief, real-time
03

Bidding window

Bids accept-only — no Dutch auction, no race-to-the-bottom. The advertiser sees all bids and picks the one that fits best, weighing price against creator quality. The creator sets their floor; the advertiser sets the ceiling.

Open until accepted
04

Escrow capture

On bid accept, the card payment moves into a dedicated escrow account. Every order is tracked on its own ledger line, and escrow funds are never used for operations — they only move at release or refund.

Per-order ledger
05

Delivery check

When a creator marks delivery, we check the submitted link, the agreed platform and content type, and the required disclosure tags before the review window starts.

Submission check
06

Auto-release on approval

The advertiser has a 48-hour review window. If they approve (or stay silent), funds release to the creator. If they dispute, the order pauses and the funds stay in escrow until the dispute is resolved.

48h review window
07

Dispute resolution

If a deal goes sideways, a reviewer with no prior involvement examines the brief, the chat log, the delivered content and platform-side data. Either side can appeal once within 7 days, and your legal rights always remain intact.

The four trust mechanics

What makes the marketplace actually work

Every marketplace lives or dies on trust. These four mechanics are how SponsR earns it on both sides.

Bidding

Creators bid with a price & pitch. Advertisers pick — they don't auction. The creator sets the floor (their minimum rate); the advertiser sets the ceiling (their budget). No race-to-the-bottom.

Why it matters: Creators control their pricing. Advertisers control their budget. Neither side gets squeezed.

Escrow

The advertiser's payment is locked into a dedicated escrow account the moment a bid is accepted. Funds release automatically after delivery and the 48-hour review window.

Why it matters: Creators know they'll be paid before they make the content. Advertisers know their money won't move if the content never lands.

Verification

Every creator connects via official platform APIs — follower counts, engagement, post performance pulled live. Every advertiser verifies their identity before funding larger orders. No screenshots. No bots. No fake brands.

Why it matters: Both sides know exactly who they're dealing with before any money or work changes hands.

Matching

Our algorithm scores every active creator against every active brief — niche, audience, past performance, rate compatibility. Creators only see briefs they could plausibly win. Advertisers only see bids worth considering.

Why it matters: Less noise. Fewer wasted bids. Better fit on both sides — which is the whole point of "marketplace."

FAQ

About the mechanics

Two reasons. First: every creator's audience and engagement is different — a flat price would either underpay top creators or overpay weaker ones. Second: bidding lets advertisers see who wants to work with them and at what price, surfacing the creators who actually fit the brief instead of just whoever has the highest follower count.
When an advertiser accepts a bid, the funds are captured by our licensed payment provider and held in a segregated trust account on your behalf — not by SponsR, and not part of any operating funds. The money sits there, untouchable, until the post goes live. Then it auto-releases to the creator. If the deal is disputed, the money pauses until our trust team resolves it within 48 hours.
Per-brief, we score every active creator on five dimensions: niche overlap with the brief's product category, audience demographic match (age, location, gender ratio), engagement rate vs the brief's category average, past performance on similar briefs, and whether the creator's rate floor fits within the brief's budget ceiling. The top scorers see the brief first.
When a creator marks a deal as delivered, they paste the post URL. We hit the platform API and verify: the post exists, it's on the right account, it's the right format (Reel/Story/etc.), it includes any required hashtags or @-mentions, and the post hasn't been deleted. All in seconds. The advertiser then has a 48-hour review window to approve or dispute.
The deal pauses. Both sides can submit additional context (extra screenshots, message history, post analytics). Our trust team reviews the original brief, the chat log, the delivered content, and platform-side data. Decisions land within 48 hours, are binding, and explain the reasoning. Funds release accordingly — refund, partial refund, or release to creator.
Yes — see brand stories on the advertisers page for case studies, and the creator showcase for creator-side examples. Real beta-data examples will replace the current placeholders at launch.
Most existing platforms are either creator-discovery databases (you find creators, then DM and pay them yourself) or full-service agencies wearing a SaaS skin. SponsR is a pure marketplace: bid, escrow, deliver, release — with no agency layer in between, no minimum spend, and no monthly subscription. Built for small creators and small advertisers, not enterprise budgets.
SponsR is live in beta in Georgia, with worldwide rollout planned for the rest of 2026. The app is in App Store and Google Play. Download to get started.
