Trust & safety

Built so both sides can trust each other.

Marketplaces live or die on trust. These are the four mechanics that hold ours together — and what to do if anything ever feels off.

Escrow payments

Your money is safe — out of reach of either side — until the deal is done.

The moment an advertiser accepts a bid, the funds move into a dedicated escrow account. The creator can't touch it. The advertiser can't pull it back. SponsR can't use it for operations. It just sits there until the work is delivered.

Bid acceptedFunds move from the advertiser into the dedicated escrow account.
Creator deliversThe post goes live on the agreed platform and the creator submits the link.
48-hour review windowThe business confirms or opens a dispute. If 48 hours pass without either, funds release automatically.
Auto-releaseFunds release to the creator, minus the platform commission — always shown before the order forms. No invoicing, no chasing.

Dedicated escrow account. Escrow funds sit in a dedicated account, tracked per order, fully separate from SponsR's operating money — and are never used for anything except release to the creator or refund to the business.

Verified profiles

What we check before anyone can bid or post

Both sides need to know who they're dealing with. Here's exactly what gets verified.

Creators

  • Identity confirmed via phone number + email
  • Social accounts linked through official OAuth (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Follower count + engagement rate pulled live from platform — not screenshots
  • Connected accounts screened for signs of inauthentic followers or engagement
  • Past brand work track record (visible to advertisers)
  • Government-ID verification before the first payout

Advertisers

  • Email and phone verified at signup; full ID verification before accepting orders of 500 GEL or more
  • Business details reviewed before campaigns go live
  • Payment-method verified before any bid can be accepted
  • Every order funded upfront into escrow — creators never rely on a promise
  • Past campaign history visible to creators considering a bid
  • Repeat-offender flagging on disputes & cancellations
Dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, here's what happens

A clear path, reviewed by real people — never decided by an algorithm.

01

Either side files in-app

Tap "open dispute" inside the deal thread. Pick a category (off-brief content, post not delivered, payment issue, behavior). Add evidence — screenshots, messages, links. Takes 1–2 minutes.

~2 min
02

Other side responds

The other side is notified and submits their version, additional evidence, and any context. The order pauses; funds stay in escrow.

03

Trust team reviews

A SponsR reviewer with no prior involvement with either side reviews the original brief, the full chat log, the delivered content and platform-side post data — never an algorithm alone.

Decision & resolution

The outcome lands in-app with reasoning: full refund, partial refund, full release, a corrective action, or a both-sides agreement. Either side can request one internal appeal within 7 days — and your right to go to court is never taken away.

Patterns matter

Repeated losses for the same conduct feed our enforcement process, and repeat offenders are suspended. A single lost dispute never closes an account.

Community guidelines

What's allowed, what isn't

Short version below. Full guidelines live in the help center.

Allowed & encouraged

  • Honest reviews — including critical ones — when disclosed clearly
  • Negotiating rates, scope, or timeline before accepting a bid
  • Asking for revisions through in-thread chat
  • Multiple bids on the same campaign from a creator who genuinely fits
  • Long-term creator–advertiser relationships across many campaigns
  • Creator-led creative direction (advertisers ask for outcomes, not scripts)

Not allowed — ever

  • Off-platform payment requests (defeats escrow protection)
  • Buying or selling fake followers, engagement, or reviews
  • Hate speech, harassment, or threats in chat or content
  • Misleading claims, fake testimonials, or paid posts without disclosure (#რეკლამა / #ad)
  • Sharing campaign briefs externally without advertiser consent
  • Scams, identity theft, or impersonation of any kind

See something off?

Suspicious account, off-platform-payment ask, harassment, fake reviews — anything that violates the guidelines above. Reports are reviewed by our trust team and your identity stays anonymous to the reported party.

Security & privacy

The infrastructure underneath

Encrypted in transit and at rest

All app traffic uses TLS 1.3. Chat messages between creators and advertisers are encrypted in transit and in storage.

Secure auth

Phone-OTP and OAuth-only login — no passwords to leak. Optional biometric unlock on mobile.

Privacy by design

We handle data under Georgia's Personal Data Protection Law, aligned with GDPR principles — including access and deletion requests. Read our privacy policy for the full breakdown.

Responsible disclosure

Security researchers — found a vulnerability? We'd genuinely like to hear from you. Coordinated disclosure via security@sponsr.app.
