Identity verification: when and why

Identity verification is the moment we ask you to prove you're the person you said you were at sign-up. We don't ask everyone — only when it actually matters.

When verification kicks in

• Creators: full verification (ID document + selfie) is required before your first payout. Until you verify, your earnings stay in your wallet — they don't go away, but you can't withdraw them.
• Advertisers: full verification is required before you accept a Bid of 500 GEL or more. Below that, email + phone verification is enough.
• Risk-based requests: we may also ask for verification at other times — suspected fraud, sanctions concerns, anti-money-laundering triggers from the payment provider. These are rare but possible.

What we ask for

• A photo of a Georgian ID document (passport or ID card).
• A short selfie or video for liveness — proves the document is yours and not a photo of someone else's ID.

The data is sent to a regulated identity verification provider, not stored as raw images on SponsR's own servers. They run automated checks plus a human review when needed.

How long does it take?

Most cases auto-approve in a few minutes. Edge cases (blurry photos, mismatched details) go to manual review and take up to a couple of business days.

What if I'm verified but verification stops working later?

If your ID document expires or your details change, we may ask you to re-verify before your next withdrawal or your next high-value Bid. The original verification doesn't get lost — you just have to refresh.

Privacy

Identity data is used only for the verification itself plus our legal record-keeping (Georgian anti-money-laundering rules require us to retain records for a fixed period). It's not shared with other users, advertisers, or third parties beyond the verification provider and required regulators.
