Escrow, explained

Escrow is the boring word for the simple idea: the Advertiser's money sits with a neutral third party until the work is done. Then it moves to the Creator.

Who actually holds the funds

A licensed payment service provider, not SponsR. We don't have a bank account holding your money — by design. The provider is regulated, holds funds in a segregated account, and handles the actual movement of money.

Why both sides win

For Advertisers:

• You don't pay until you've reviewed the work and approved it.
• If the deliverables don't match the brief, you can dispute — funds are frozen while we look.
• If the Creator disappears, you don't lose your money.

For Creators:

• The Advertiser can't pay you "later" because the funds were captured the moment they accepted your Bid.
• If the Advertiser ghosts after delivery, the funds release automatically after 2 days.
• If they dispute unfairly, our team reviews — you don't have to chase anyone.

When does the money actually move?

The flow has four moments:

1. Capture. Advertiser accepts a Bid → funds are pulled from their card to the provider.
2. Hold. Funds sit until the Order completes.
3. Release. Order completes (approved or auto-approved) → funds move to the Creator's wallet, less SponsR's commission.
4. Clearance. A short clearance window passes → funds become available for withdrawal.

What if the card declines?

No Order forms. The Bid stays open until either someone tries again or the Advertiser picks a different Bid.

SponsR's commission

SponsR takes a percentage commission only when an Order completes. The Creator sees the net number in their wallet, with the gross + commission shown for clarity. We don't charge anything if the Order is cancelled or refunded.
